In the last year, more and more Facebook updates have been available for Windows, especially Windows 10.
Until now you could video and voice call your friends on your smartphone. This was until Windows 10 released the update that lets you make Facebook calls on your laptop and PC. After Facebook announced the feature that allowed users to go live on Facebook from their mobile devices, now Windows 10 decided to also integrate this update.
Despite the fact that you are using a computer, it works just the same as the Messenger app for both iOS and Android. In the right top corner of the chat box, there is an icon that allows you to call the person you were texting with, but only if that person is active. Just like the phone version of the app, you can’t call a person that is not active at that moment.
Thanks to this update, you don’t have to go to Facebook.com or Messenger.com, you just access the Facebook app that you installed on your computer. Despite the fact that the Windows app doesn’t have as many features as the one you have on your mobile device, you will receive a notification if someone is calling you. If the person you were calling does not answer, you can just leave a voice message.
The other feature that Facebook previously added, the live broadcasts, is available on a mobile device or a computer if you use Windows 10. Nobody knows when or if Facebook is going to make these updates available for Apple iOS and Android laptops and tablets.
This update is not available for all Windows 10 users; some of them need to install the latest update in order to get their features. Facebook also has 24-hour live streams available on mobile devices and computers that have Windows 10.
Facebook launched the apps for Windows 10 in order to make the lives of Windows users much easier. They only need to install the app and they are ready to go.
In the last year, more and more Facebook updates have been available for Windows, especially Windows 10. This is not the case for Apple and Android computers because they don’t have the same feature. Once Facebook makes another update, mobile device and Windows 10 users are the first ones that know about it.
