Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL received positive feedback from critics, and they both mark the first line of products under this new brand. Under the guidance of Rick Osterloh, former hardware head at Motorola Mobility, the company was able to create its own Google Home ecosystem on Android 7.1 Nougat. However, the tech giant is aware that their products are not perfect. This is why they turn to their own customers to ask for their opinion. Based on the user feedback, Google will proceed to create their next Pixel smartphone.
Krishna Kumar is the product leader at Google Pixel, and he is already projecting the design for the next smartphone from the company. However, he is firstly gathering user feedback on his latest products, Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL. Krishna has already asked the user community the features they hated and the ones that they loved about the product.
Kumar didn’t avoid admitting that while Google Pixel enjoyed much appreciation as being a one of a kind Android gadget, there is still a lot of room for improvement. The Pixel User Community is already rounding up some of the most notable answers. Most of them regard the design of the products and ask for a redo of this aspect. According to user feedback, the aluminum chassis can’t surpass in utility the waterproof feature that the smartphone lacks. Moreover, the design is too common to be taken as a streamlined and high-tech gadget. It shares too many similarities with other products on the market. However, the user feedback is confident that the average looks can be greatly improved in the future.
Another aspect that wasn’t deemed as a quality feature is the bezel of the back of the smartphone. Users noticed the latest mobile design trend that depicts a smartphone case being as thin as possible, and they want it for their favorite Android gadget too. The company opted for a high-tech battery of larger capacity to the detriment of a sleek design. Some Pixel owners mentioned the Nexus built that was far from being thick and therefore the same feature is possible for the next Google product as well.
A sensitive point was made regarding the audio performance of the Pixel products which is too low for a quality conversation. Some of the Nexus 6P former owners are missing in their new Google smartphones a quality set of speakers. Thus, user feedback points at a possible improvement in this area as well. In the end, it will be up to Google to consider these arguments and use them to create their next product.
