Alzheimer’s is one of the most expensive diseases. This happens because patients can suffer from this disease for years. In 2016, the cost of treating the disease is 236 billion dollars. Think of what will happen if there will be more patients in the future.
Researchers are not able to tell how much a person suffering from Alzheimer’s will live. It depends if he/she will get treatment. Most of the times, younger people who get sick live more than older adults. It will be a long journey before researchers will find out why women are more exposed.
