Cards Against Humanity hopes to throw a wrench in Trump’s border wall plan
Donald Trump’s fabled Mexico border wall is still getting attention the latest one coming from the popular adult party game Cards Against Humanity.
Trump announced during the 2016 presidential election, that if he’d become president, he would build a wall to separate the United States from Mexico and in essence, solve the immigration problem. The first part happened, in that Trump is now president, however, the wall is still up in the air as many supporters noticed.
Now it seems that Cards Against Humanity is taking steps to ensure the wall will never be built. The company purchased a plot of land along the Mexican border to block any attempts of building President Trump’s border wall. The company expressed its feelings regarding the wall in their statement.
“We’ve purchased a plot of vacant land on the border and retained a law firm specializing in eminent domain to make it as time-consuming and expensive as possible for the wall to get built”
The game will let people in on the fun after they announced a holiday promotion this Tuesday. For $15 dollars, the company will give players a map of the border location along with other gifts. The illustrated map is just a taste of what’s to come, they said. Aside from new cards, other “surprises” will be added.
President Trump’s administration has not revealed how much it will cost to build the border wall let alone a detailed estimate of acquiring private land in Texas. For such a long and massive wall to be built, many American citizens will have to give up their lands. The Department of Homeland Security and Customs and Border Protection officials have told the Governmental Affairs Committee that they don’t know how long it will take for completing land acquisitions or how much effort will be required to complete the wall.
