Xiaomi’s upgraded Mi Band Pulse for fitness and sports activities contributes to heart rate monitoring and improved sleeping patterns without a major cost increase. Set to be released in China later this week, when the entire nation celebrates Single’s Day, this band will have an equivalent price of under $20.
When you first look at it, the new fitness tracker looks very similar to its forerunner. But there is a recent optical heart monitor, this having the high precision of the much more expensive Apple Watch and a more solid strap around the wrist, according to Xiaomi.
The device is compatible with both iOS and Android operating systems and platforms, the product being connected through Bluetooth and its dedicated mobile application Mi Fit. This way, the user can synchronize all health, sports activities and sleep parameters with a single touch. Customers also get call alerts on their wrist and can start the phone directly from their fitness band.
In a similar way to its predecessor the MiBand, Mi Pulse has a decent 45mAh battery that the producer says that it can last for a whole month with only one charge. The item is also certified to resist under water, being dropped from 4 feet and was tested to endure both low and high temperature ranges
Chinese clients can have their pick from a broad series of vibrant colors, such as red, teal, green, teal, blue and black. There are still no official details whether this new device will also be sold in other countries too and the company did not offer other information about its marketing strategy regarding the gadget.
This emerging smart phone manufacturer entered in 2014 into the health and fitness field with its extremely cost-effective tracking system, a $15 MiBand. While the main competitor Fitbit still is on top of the wearable industry, Xiaomi is slowly advancing in this field, being now on the second place, despite mainly delivering its products in China
U.S. customers who are now looking for an inexpensive wellness and fitness-tracking gadget can now try the Flash Link, which has a price tag of only $20 in the authorized selling points.
