Family Groups is the new feature added by Google to help family members share more content with each other.
Family is the most important thing in the world. Apparently, Google thinks so too. The tech giant just introduced a new feature that helps us share anything we want with our family. In the last few years, Google has been focusing on helping users share things with their family and friends. For instance, now, you can share music and content from Google Play.
Photos, Calendar, Keep, and YouTube TV
Family groups, the new feature that was introduced by Google, help users share everything they like with their loved ones. Now, the tech giant made it easier for users to share content from Calendar, Keep, YouTube TV, and Photos. From Google Keep, people can remind their family members a task they need to complete by sharing one of the notes that is written in the app.
With Google Photos, all family members can enjoy your wedding or trip pictures. When it comes to Calendar, your loved ones will be able to know your schedule so that they can be sure you are free for dinner the following week. All of these three services are free. When it comes to YouTube TV, family groups need to pay 35$ to enjoy live streaming from cable networks.
Family Groups by Google
Family groups are a great feature added by Google. The fact that you can now share your Calendar and Keep Notes apps will help family members schedule gatherings easier. The service is only going to be available in a limited number of countries, including Brazil, France, The US, the UK, Spain, Mexico, Germany, Canada, Japan, and Ireland.
“Families share a lot of stuff – and now we’re making it even easier to share and stay connected with each other by giving you more to do with your family group on Google,” the search giant said.
It is important to know that you can only be part of one group at a time. You can change members of the group only once a year. The only visible downside is users have to make sure they add the right members to the service because there can only be 6 of individuals in a group.
