Salmonella risk is a common problem these days and more and more products are recalled due to it.
Salmonella risk hits again. More and more stores are recalling their products due to salmonella risk or contamination. Salmonella is a serious bacterium that can affect anyone, especially older people and children because they are more sensitive.
Another market has now decided to recall some of its products due to salmonella risk. Publix is recalling pancakes and waffle mixes. This is because the milk powder supplier announced that the products might have been contaminated with salmonella.
The products that are new being recalled were sold in stores in Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Alabama, and Tennessee. Despite the fact that most people recover from a salmonella contamination, this can affect them in the long run.
“As part of our commitment to food safety, potentially impacted product has been removed from all store shelves,” mentioned Maria Brous, Publix media and community relations director.
Some of the products that are recalled are Premium Pumpkin Pancake and Waffle Mix, Premium Blueberry Pancake and Waffle Mix, and Premium Banana-Flavored Chocolate Chip Pancake and Waffle Mix. Nobody reported feeling sick after consuming these products. People are asked to report if they have any problems after consuming one of these products.
People who bought some of these products can return them to the stores and they will receive a full refund. For questions and reclamations, they can call Publix at 1-800-242-1227 or go to their website : www.publix.com.
Salmonella risk is a common problem these days and more and more products are recalled due to it. People who got contaminated with salmonella have some specific symptoms including fever, abdominal cramps, and diarrhea. Most people recover without any treatment but some need hospitalization and specific treatment in order to recover.
The recall was voluntary and it was issued by Publix after they were informed about the salmonella-contaminated milk powder. Nobody knows exactly if these products are contaminated and there need to be made some tests to prove that this is the case. Let’s hope that nobody gets contaminated due to these products.
What is your opinion about these recalls? Do you think that these products needed to be recalled now or after they were tested?
