In what could be termed as the miracle of science and technology, the tech giant Microsoft has developed an amazing product that will allow you print objects from your imagination.
Microsoft on Wednesday announced the launch of its surprise new device called HoloLens, new software called HoloStudio and a 3D printer.
HoloLens, a headset wearable device which is just like an amalgamation of Google Glass and the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset, allows the wearer see virtual elements everywhere they look.
It cannot be completely understood like Google Glass as it localize all the virtual elements to a very small display in front of one of the user’s eyes, but HoloLens offers a lot more on the virtual elements.
While making the announcement about the incredible device on Wednesday, Microsoft’s Alex Kipman, imprecisely said that they will be bringing HoloLens on the Windows 10 timeframe soon.
Kipman had tremendously contributed in building the original software for Kinect.
Windows 10 is likely to be next launch by Microsoft in the Operating System segment.
According to Microsoft, HoloLens can be used for the creation of the users’ own virtual elements or holograms that will appear in the real world after wearing the device. Then the user can fire up the software for creating a 3D object by picking the choices offered by the app: spheres and sticks and so on. Last but not the least, the users can hook up to a 3D printer to get their imaginary object into a real thing.
