Michelle Obama’s tweet congratulating the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on the birth of their third child on Monday has gone viral. Her sweet message referenced meeting Prince George in Kensington Palace while he was wearing his pajamas and robe.
“Barack and I are thrilled to congratulate The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on their newest arrival!” Michelle Obama wrote on both Instagram and Twitter. “We hope to meet him soon for a Kensington Palace pajama party. I’ll wear my robe!”
The message was attached to a photo of the Obamas with Prince George in his night-time garb.

The new royal baby was born at 11:01am on Monday in London. The Duke and Duchess did not was any time introducing their new prince to the world. They came down the steps of St. Mary’s Hospital about seven hours later. Their son’s name has not yet been announced.
The Obama’s may just get that sleepover. They enjoyed a previous night’s sleep at Buckingham Palace in 2016.
“They hosted us for the state dinner. When you’re the guest country you stay at Buckingham Palace,” she said on “The Late Show” that year. “I do remember ordering french fries at the palace. They were good. They were some good fries.”
It seems Michelle got to congratulate the happy royals on this new birth, and Barack sent the congratulations to Prince Harry on his engagement to Meghan Markle.
“Michelle and I are delighted to congratulate Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on their engagement. We wish you a lifetime of joy and happiness together.”

The Obamas are not invited to the royal wedding, and neither are the Trumps or any political leaders.
So if and when this royal pajama party happens, let’s hope there is a selfie made so that we can all enjoy it.
