Track and hunt down ancient beast, complete side quests and face cannibals in battle in Far Cry Primal.
Ubisoft was done a remarkable job of bringing history to life. To the streets of 12th century Jerusalem, to the hall of the founding fathers, the company has indeed proved that Earth’s history can be an awesome background. And now, the same company which dazzled us with the Assassin’s Creed series brings us yet another bone-chilling title. Let your beast loose in Far Cry Primal, a game that takes us way back in time.
We all can agree on one thing: Far Cry is fun. Apart from the first one, which was not at all different from the other shoot-em-up games found on the market. But starting with Far Cry 2, the whole series took an entirely another turn. And for the best, we might add.
Following in the footsteps of the elusive Jackal, shooting bad guys, buying shiny new weapons and unlocking new location – now that was fun. And the whole gaming community went berserk when Far Cry 3 was launched.
Not only the game featured an awesome graphical engine, but the gameplay was pretty innovative. Basically, the Far Cry series turned overnight from a common shoot-em-up game, into an FPS, stealth-based action-adventure game with RPG elements.
And with a sprinkle of supernatural and some narc-induced inner trips, the game had everything a player needed. Of course, Far Cry 4 continued to innovation trend started by Far Cry 3, a trend which ended with the Valley of Yeti standalone.
On top of all that, Ubisoft announced a couple of months ago that the Far Cry feature will receive a new game, one with better graphics, improved gameplay, and a dazzling story. And they weren’t kidding.
What’s up with Far Cry Primal you ask? Well, how’s this for a story: instead of being thrown on an island in the middle of nowhere where you would normally have to scavenge for weapons and upgrades how about being thrown back in time?
How far in time do you ask? Try 12.000 years ago, in the Stone Age. Yes, you heard it right. The player will now face all the horror of a war-ravaged world, in the skin of a Stone Age man. Takkar is the name of the character and his main goal is to find his tribe called the Wanja.
Well, apart from the mission of finding your long, lost tribe you will also have to wage war against two other tribe, Udam, and Izila. Weapon-wise, you will only have a limited arsenal like bows, arrows, spears and probably swords.
Moreover, you will also be able to explore the mythical continent of Oros, hunt down majestic beasts and complete ample side-quests.
Let your inner beast loose with Far Cry Primal, who probably has one of the most original tales.
