These 3 companies decided to collaborate so that they can produce better self-driving cars.
Cars have evolved a lot since they were first produced. Now there are a lot of types of cars including self-driving cars. These new cars are more like computers on wheels that have processors which control everything.
In order to create better computers for these cars, some tech companies are teaming up. Mobileye, Delphi, and Intel are some of those companies. These 3 companies decided to collaborate so that they can produce better self-driving cars.
Intel is going to have to make a lot of efforts in order to catch up in this matter because they are new to the market of self-driving cars and there are a lot of tech companies that know more about these automobiles.
Self-driving cars need much more complex processors that can scan the pedestrians and the road. They also need a lot of sensors and cameras which means that the tech companies need to make effort in order to develop better technology.
All tech companies want to enter in this sector, building self-driving; cars because there is a lot of profit and these cars are new and innovative. With this new partnership between the three companies, Intel is going to create computer chips for the auto supplier, Delphi, and Mobileye is going to create vision systems. These 3 combined can produce a great self-driving car.
Mobileye and Delphi hope to make systems that are less expensive so that the price of the car can be more accessible for customers. They also hope that this system can create a car that is intelligent enough to drive itself, without any help from the driver, just commands.
Intel confirmed the alliance between their company and the other two. They also mentioned that they are going to produce Core i7 chip for these companies. This is until they produce a newer, more powerful chip that is going to be released in a month or two.
Despite the fact that there are a lot of companies that know more about this business and have been producing computer chips for some time, Intel believes that they will manage to make some effort to catch these companies.
What is your opinion about this alliance? Do you think that these companies are going to produce better systems?
