Game of Thrones needed six seasons to prepare the stage for the epic meeting between Ice and Fire. Fans got the opportunity of an exclusive insight into the meeting that took place behind closed doors. The moment Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow faced each other might have just as well described how matter and anti-matter encountered to create life or destroy it for good.
The Epic Meeting Was Actually a Well Hidden Family Reunion
“The Queen’s Justice” was the third episode of the seventh season of Game of Thrones. Unlike its predecessors, each minute of it was charged with the awe of a new event, reunion or meeting. However, by far the most mesmerizing moment was when the Ice and Fire finally were face to face.
The epic meeting between Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen is an important milestone in this fantasy world. That’s because the two of them are actually relatives. To the Mother of Dragons, Snow might appear just a barbaric man of the North. In actuality, he is actually her nephew.
Only Bran Stark knows that Jon Snow is more than just a bastard. He represents the point of convergence between Stark family which represents Ice and Targaryen family which is Fire.
Now that Bran Stark returned home to Sansa and the two lost relatives reunited without their knowledge, the truth seems more eager than ever to reach the surface. However, Bran is not the small, frightened boy anymore. Like all characters in the universe of George R. R. Martin, he transformed into a legend, the Three-Eyed Crow.
However, for the moment Game of Thrones enthusiasts remained with just an epic meeting and nothing more. At the counsel of Tyrion, it was the Mother of Dragons who let the guard down first by offering unrestricted access to her reserve of dragonglass. Despite this gesture of good will, neither party seems ready to include each other in their plans and become equal allies.
