Undoubtedly one of the greatest inventions of 2015, the Ecocapsule represents an amazing technological advancement towards a more independent future for those who are considering living off the grid. What sets it apart from other eco-friendly inventions is the fact that it has managed to combine the best ecologic concepts in order to create a fully independent home, that perfectly depicts the home of tomorrow.
The Ecocapsule is a rather small egg-shaped dwelling, that has solar panels, wind turbines and a battery that can store the energy from these devices, that offers its inhabitants all that they need in order to have a complete mobile home.
As it was devised to have full mobility, its size was designed in accordance with the main concepts that define a mobile home: practical, accessible and as independent as possible. And so, the Ecocapsule measures 14.6 feet in length, 7.4 feet in width and 8.4 feet in height, which ensures quite the tight environment.
Its designers, the Slovakian Nice Architects, say that it is suitable for two people to live in it. Despite the fact that it has all the main necessities of living including a shower, a toilet, a small kitchenette, a table and a bed, it is bound to get pretty crowed inside for two people.
However, it all depends on how you look at it, because the Ecocapsule is meant to be used anywhere in the world. And what this usually entails is a lot of nature, where only a small amount of time would be spent inside the house.
Furthermore, its main feature is the fact that it is fully independent. It has 600 W solar cell all throughout its roof area and a 750 W wind turbine attached to it, that are capable of storing 100% green energy in a high-power battery that can power the entire house.
Water will be provided in the form of rainwater, that will be collected in special containers that can be placed around the ecocapsule, thus meeting all the main requirements of a home, a mobile home at least.
Another important feature of the Ecocapsule is that it is absolutely gorgeous. Created by the Nice Architects, the ecological mobile home has an amazing futuristic design that will satisfy even the most sophisticated of tastes. Its interior looks like the cozy version of a spaceship chamber, but it also has the ability of being transformed into someone’s home.
For the moment, there is no official price available for the Ecocapsule, but it has been estimated around $2,400 which is not that high of a price if you take into consideration that it is fully independent. Pre-orders are expected to be made available towards the end on the year. The official presentation of the product will take place at the Pioneer Festival in Vienna.
