Two new concepts have been announced by Chevrolet for the 2014 LA Auto Show. The first of these is a laser boosted racing car and the second one is a smartcar for the dirt tracks. Likely, Chevrolet had also come up with a Silverado concept at the 2009 SEMA show. This car boasted of a powerful engine along with a worthy suspension.
In the current concepts unveiled by Chevrolet, the stance is four inches wider than the standard Z71 and the bumber has been given a new look with greater departure angles. Auto expert point that given its bold stance, driving the new Chevrolet will be a pleasure task for the riders.
However, Chevrolet wants to adopt a cautious approach when it comes to bringing this new concept in the market. In the words of Colorado ZR2 marketing manager, Tony Johnson, the company has a heritage of ZR2 being ultimate in off road capabilities and the public interest will be gauged in bringing out the best for the car lovers who have been eagerly waiting for any new product from Chevrolet.
Off- roading seems to be the true purpose of this concept as the capabilities of the car go much beyond its retooled bumpers. The car will be having electronic locking front and back differentials along with mono tube coil over shocks and knobby tires.
This concept car will be equipped with 2.8 liter Duramax diesel that produces 181 horsepower and has 369 pound feet of torque.
