We all know that once you get older, it’s hard to make new friends. Yes, it’s annoying and sometimes even painful, but that’s one of the no-no of getting old. This is where Bumble, the chick-friendly dating app comes in. Bumble’s BFF mode takes the gaming out of Bumble and makes it easier for you to make new buds, regardless of age.
As years pass by us, we tend to say goodbye to a lot of things, friends included. Usually, an individual tends to keep in touch with one or two close friends during their lifetime, and that’s that.
In very rare instances is an individual inclined to seek new friends. And frankly speaking, when you are of a certain age, it’s kind of awkward to try and befriend someone.
Well, it would seem that a popular dating app wants to prove us wrong, by showing us that we can make friends anywhere and at any age.
So, now the question is, how does it work? First of all, before launching this new mode, the developers thought long and hard about another aspect of the application: gamification. For example, male users can impose on this feature to find new dates, even though the feature is designed to find friends, not potential partners.
To sort this out, the team introduce a same-sex policy for BFF, meaning that girls can only befriend girls and so on. But that doesn’t mean that the application cannot still be used for dating. According to the dev team behind the concept, once you switch on the feature, Bumble will ask you if you are looking for a friend or a date.
If the user selects the “find a friend” option, the application will automatically start searching for same-sex users who have the same stuff that you like. When the apps find a potential match, it will send a notification to you and the other person.
Now, in case you both like each other, you can begin talking to your potential new best friend. Like Tinder, Bumble uses the same “swipe right for like and left for dislike” system.
To enable this feature, all you have to do is to head on over to option and look for the “enable BFF mode” button. Restart the application to make sure Bumble memorized your changes and started searching for your next best friend.
Just remember: the swipe system may work good, but it’s not infallible. So, the next time you swipe either left or right don’t forget to check out her entire profile.
Bumble’s BFF mode takes the gaming out of Bumble, transforming the app into a powerful best friend finder.
