With just three months since their release, Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon are already best sellers.
Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon have only several months of activity, with their release date being in November 2016. Nonetheless, they managed to gain public esteem which brought them 4.5 million in sold units. Nintendo producer hasn’t had any product before that generated revenue at such a fast pace. The fact that they are both based on the Pokemon Universe and a smart marketing campaign seem to be the main factors that made them best sellers.
Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon were released in November 2016 in celebrating the 20th anniversary of the franchise. They are also the first products that activate in the seventh generation of this video industry based on Pokemon Universe. The two productions follow the same story format of the previous ones. The players receive a young trainer who can handle a large collection of Pokemons. What’s different in this seventh generation is that the action revolves around the Alola region. At this Hawaiian style location, players have to put an end to a criminal organization called Team Skull.
Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon kept many features that made this fictional universe worldwide famous. However, the series are also introducing new content, such as 81 new species and recreated old ones that evolved through time and turned into new Alolan forms. Moreover, players can enjoy new powerful battle tactics called Z-Moves as well as fight mechanics entitled Mega Evolution.
Both games managed to register 4.5 million in sold units which made them best sellers. Thanks to their success, the Nintendo 3DS became more popular among portable consoles. A major strength point for the games is that creators keep introducing new content which makes the games more addictive. For instance, new Alola Friendly battles are programmed for January 27. The event will last for three days and will host 15 friendly battles each day.
The Pokemon Sun and Moon players can already register for the new event, and they have until January 26, 2017 to decide if they want to join this friendly battle or not. Users will be able to employ Alola Poxedex only and they have limited choice in Pokemons also. Some of the creatures that are not allowed to fight at this event are Cosmog, Lunala, Cosmoem, Magearna, Solgaleo, Zygarde, and Necrozma. Moreover, there are also a series of banned battle moves and Mega Stones will be interdicted as well.
