Do you need something to turn your day around? How about a video of a baseball player in Long Island, New York that has gone viral? Not just any baseball player. This is a video of Billy who has Down Syndrome. After he hits a magnificent home run, you won’t believe the dance moves he displays.
Billy plays for a team called the League of YES. It is for children who have special needs. And last month, Billy hit a home run and the executive director of the league, Kristine Fitzpatrick caught the whole things on video.
Crowd Simply Goes Crazy
Billy runs the bases and when he rounds third, there is a double sided welcome line. As he approaches home plate, he cuts loose with some sweet moves. That’s when the crowd simply goes crazy!
Fitzpatrick posted the video on Facebook and it’s been shared nearly 50k times.
“We hope that it shows that you can be friends with a child with special needs and to understand that they are just kids, too. We want to break that barrier of acceptance,” Fitzpatrick said.
