Amazon and Apple have been battling for a long time in their race for the title of king of tech and entertainment industries. However, they might surprise an entire world with their upcoming collaboration. Some reports claimed that Apple TV would start hosting an app for Amazon Prime Video in summer. Many users will find this strategy useful to them which can overcome some problems with this service.
Apple TV Users Had a Complicated Trajectory to Tap Into Their Amazon Prime Video Subscriptions
Sources that are familiar with the matter have recently disclosed that Apple and Amazon are in talks for their first collaboration. These two giants are about to sign an agreement for including an Amazon Prime Video app in the family of Apple TV.
The result of the two companies’ work will allow Amazon Prime Video subscribers to enjoy the same range of TV productions right from their Apple TV. Before this merger, users had a hard time connecting the two types of services. For instance, Apple TV had to be connected to AirPlay feature to get a set-top box through other devices such as an iPhone. However, Amazon iOS app wasn’t responsive either. Users had to visit Amazon website in the first place and buy content from there.
The Offer Might Go Live in the Third Quarter of 2017
As a consequence, a tvOS with its own Amazon Prime Video app will make life easier for users. They will be able to access premium content from Amazon right from their Apple TV. From here on, the list of possibilities is even richer. For example, users might connect their brand new app to Siri and streamline their connectivity to full capacity with just one voice command. Amazon employees believe the new plan will be up and running in the third quarter of 2017.
