A month after their promotion endeavours, the two biggest telecom companies in United States, Verizon and AT&T are lowering the cost of their data plans.
Verizon’s $80 plan which previously offered 6 GB to its customers will now give 10 GB instead. The $100 plan used to have 10 GB prior to the up gradation of customer plans. The customers will now get 15 GB data in the $100 plan.
According to a report, mobile data usage will be increasing by 325% in another four years. For a monthly fee of $130 the customers at Verizon used to get 16 GB previously. The data has been virtually doubled and customers will now get 30 GB for the same price.
Verizon is also offering 40 GB a month for $150. This plan had 20 GB prior to initiation of this offer.
AT&T also is offering similar plans to its users to be in the competition. Users will be getting 3 GB for $40 in place of 2 GB as previously offered. However, Verizon has scored a point in its $80 a month plan. While Verizon is offering its users 10 GB in place of 6 GB as previously offered, AT&T is sticking with 6 GB in this plan.
However while the companies might be offering these discounted plans to its users, it is not certain as if these discounts will continue till long. Moreover, Verizon has poor coverage in San Francisco Bay area and not many people prefer using its services here.
Therefore a cautious approach is needed before you decide to switch over your mobile plan or the company instead.
