Menino is a name that everyone in the city of Boston knows passed away on Thursday at the age of 71. The 1st Italian – American mayor of the city who broke the Irish Domination on the city’s politics even though temporarily. He was re-elected 4 times to head the mayor’s office over the career span of over 20 years he was the true inspiration for the people of Boston. And due to his decorating heart he had to abstain from his 6th term.
He was a one of the most extraordinary leader, the city has ever seen. His dedication and commitment toward the city and its people could be seen through the blast of Boston Marathon, which killed 3 and injured 260. He was then in the firing line in leading the shaken city out of this crisis right. For this he checked himself out of the hospital where he had undergone broken led surgery.
Menino health has been concern for a long time and he was admitted to hospital several time while in office. His legacy will be carried on forward by his wife Angela, his children, Susan and Thomas Jr., a Boston police officer, and six grandchildren. He will always be fondly remembered.
