Whoever made the decision to hire “comedian” Michelle Wolf to give the monologue at the White House Correspondent’s Dinner may be full of regret.
She started the mean-spirited “comedy” with an attack on Vice President Mike Pence and abortion. Going after Pence’s defense of the unborn baby, she declared that abortion is something people should try.
“Don’t knock it until you try it, and when you try it, really knock it. You gotta get that baby outta there.”
What made social media really blow up was the way she treated Sarah Huckabee Sanders (who was seated at the head table a few feet from Wolf) and Kellyanne Conway. “You guys gotta stop putting Kellyanne Conway on your shows. All she does is lie. If you don’t give her a platform, she has nowhere to lie.
It’s like that old saying, “If a tree falls in the woods, how do we get Kellyann under that tree? I’m not suggesting she gets hurt, just stuck.’”
Wolf saved some of her nastiest material, however, for White House Press Secretary, Sarah Sanders.
“And of course, we have Sarah Huckabee-Sanders. We are graced with Sarah’s presence tonight. I have to say, I’m a little starstruck, I loved you as “Aunt Lydia” in “The Handmade’s Tale.” (laughter from the crowd) Mike Pence, if you haven’t seen it, you would love it.
I actually really like Sarah. I think she’s really resourceful. Like she burns facts, and then she uses that ash to create a perfect smokey eye. Like maybe she’s born with it. Maybe it’s lies.
It’s probably lies.
I’m never really sure what to call Sarah Huckabee-Sanders? Is it Sarah-Sanders? Is it Sarah-Huckabee Sanders? Is it cousin Huckabee? Is it Aunti Huckabee-Sanders? Like, what’s Uncle Tom, but for white women who disappoint other white women? Oh, I know, ‘Aunt Coulter’.”
Some of the media elite immediately expressed disgust for Wolf’s act. Andrea Mitchell stunned everyone when she demanded an apology to White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders from Wolf.
Apology is owed to @PressSec and others grossly insulted ny Michelle Wolf at White House Correspondents Assoc dinner which started with uplifting heartfelt speech by @margarettalev – comedian was worst since Imus insulted Clinton’s

Politco reporter Kyle Cheney tweeted this:
Michelle Wolf didn’t fail just because she was (spectacularly) one-sided. It was because she was unnecessarily cruel on a night the WHCA was trying to showcase decency and purpose.
Undermined an otherwise meaningful night.

Maybe the best criticism of Wolf came from comic icon Roseanne Barr. She said that liberals use women to attack women, and then gave the younger “comedian” three rules of comedy.
first rule of comedy: NEVER target someone more famous than U who is in the audience. U will lose the entire crowd.
— Roseanne Barr (@therealroseanne) April 29, 2018
second rule of comedy: comedy comes from LOVE, not from HATE! If u feel hate, you won’t get laughs.
— Roseanne Barr (@therealroseanne) April 29, 2018
third rule of comedy: the comic has to be the ‘asshole’ not the audience!
