Razer has announced the latest model of gaming laptop, a portable device that comes dressed up in a new design.
The 2015 Blade laptop model resembles the last year’s Razer Blade, in terms of slim dimensions and aluminum chassis but the new model comes with improved hardware.
The new Razer Blade gaming laptop resembles the 15 inch Retina MacBook Pro, but unlike it, the Blade laptop is painted black.
The slim laptop features an Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 M graphics card, which will bring Nvidia’s Maxwell architecture to new laptops.
The Blade laptop has new GPU that makes for better graphic quality, and new features such as Multi-Frame Anti Aliasing. It features a support for the Voxel Global Illumination Technology (VXGI). Also, the nee gaming laptop comes with a longer battery life thanks to Nvidia’s BatteryBoost, without losing any of the high-quality gaming experience.
The new Razer Blade gaming laptop comes with a 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7-4720HQ quad-core processor AND 16 GB of RAM.
The system accepts up to 512 GB of solid state drive, which offers both a better storage capacity and a faster performance.
The port selection is improved and includes 4 USB 3.0 ports, an 802.11 ac Wi-Fi connectivity and an HDMI port.
The new Razer Blade gaming laptop kept some of the features from the previous model, such as the Indium Gallium Zinc Oxide display panel or the QHD+ display with a resolution of 3,200×1,800.
The new laptop features a display with 10 point multi-touch that is touch-capable. This feature is still not very common in gaming laptops.
The 2015 Razer Blade laptop features a keyboard and a trackpad that have been especially designed and optimized for gaming purposes.
The keyboard comes with a full anti-ghosting, programmable keys and adjustable backlight.
The new gaming laptop is 14 inches long and measures 0.7×13.6×9.3 inches, weighing 4.47 pounds.
Just like previous models, the new Blade laptop has an anodized black chassis, which is highlighted with green USB ports and the Razer logo glowing on the lid.
The latest Razer Blade gaming laptop starts at $2,199 and is available for sale starting today.
