Lyft is bringing luxury to its clients in the form of expensive cars.
In the following months, a lot more luxury vehicles like BMW, Audi, and Mercedes will be sporting the pink mustache. Lyft is bringing luxury to its clients in order to attract a more selective clientele. Ironically, rival Uber started out with the same idea.
Lyft is bringing luxury to its customers in the form of high-end vehicles and highly rated drivers. The premium price for the Premier rides will bring more money in the pocket of the drivers. The company will also be able to take advantage of the considerably higher margins of the new rides.
The drivers that collaborate with Lyft are encouraged by the firm to offer their clients things like phone chargers, gum, and water bottles. These are not regulations, but encouragements from the mother company.
The only added thing that Lyft is offering with the Premier services is the added leg room and the custom leather seats. Of course, the psychological impact of riding in a luxury vehicle is added to the experience.
In order to get their name and services across, Lyft partnered up with various other companies throughout the years. Apple, for example, is offering free Lyfts to its employees.
The car-sharing company has also been adding features like expensing for enterprise users. The new Premier service seems to go really well with the corporate travel strategy that Lyft has been applying in the last years.
The higher prices that will come with the Premium service will most likely scare a couple of customers, and some of the drivers as well. However, Lyft is planning to solve this issue by offering its clients the opportunity of scheduling Premier rides.
Lyft has included scheduled rides in its offer since the beginning of this year. The service offers customers the certainty that their car will be ready and waiting for them at their designated time. Individuals who wish to use this service can do so with up to 24 hours in advance.
The competition is currently struggling with complaints about waiting times and disrespectful drivers. Uber clients that have been using the UberBLACK and UberSELECT features sent numerous complaints to the company stating that the UberX and Pool services are faster and more reliable.
Now that Lyft is bringing luxury to its clients, what do you think about the car-sharing service? Do you prefer Uber of Lyft?
