Tech giant LG has offered a delightful treat to all the tech crazy people who have been impatiently waiting for Apple’s much-anticipated smartwatch launch. As the Apple Watch is expected to hit the market in April this year, LG has announced the launch of a new Watch Urbane in the nick of time.
LG Watch Urbane would be the third smartwatch launched by LG. The technically equipped smartwatch will see an official launch at the Mobile World Congress in March this year.
Juno Cho, president and chief executive of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company, said, “LG Watch Urbane is an important part of our strategy to develop wearable devices that are worn and viewed as everyday accessories, not electronic gadgets.”
The company is making all efforts to respond to the first emerging trend of Android Wear smartwatch.
Nearly 720,000 Android Wear watches had been shipped over the past 12 months, according to a Canalys report which was published on Wednesday.
The new LG watch maximize the elegance with its slimmer stainless steel body, which gets further specification with a polished gold or silver finish, besides a traditional leather strap.
The smartwatch offers a variety of services including monitoring average pulse and heart rates. It is water and dust resistant. LG will be announcing the price of its new smartwatch sometimes later.
