Blending technology with fashion would definitely be the good idea for the consumers, especially the fashion obsessed ladies. Seeing the bright future for such a fashionable accessory, chip maker Intel in collaboration with Opening Ceremony is going to unveil its latest innovation called MICA or ‘My Intelligent Communications Accessory’.
The snakeskin bracelets, dubbed ‘My Intelligent Communication Accessory’ or MICA, are majorly aimed at grabbing the attention of fashion-conscious women. The makers believe the device would solve some of the major problems of the modern day women and also cut the negative points earned by the traditional smartwatches and ugly looking fitness bands.
With their excellent offing, both the companies have made a genuine attempt to make their stand out appearance in the growing market of often-clunky fitness brands and smartwatches. The market watchers believe that the companies have to go a long way to catch the wider acceptance of the consumers.
“We really approached this first and foremost about why would a woman want to wear this everyday, and how can it be incorporated into her wardrobe,” Humberto Leon, creative director at Opening Ceremony, said in a telephonic interview last week.
The new device will come with 18k gold coating, lapis stones and obsidian along with a sapphire curved screen on the inner side of the wrist that is meant for the display of text messages, events and calendar items from search engine Google and social networking site Facebook, and suggestions by Yelp for nearby restaurants and stores.
According to Inetl, the new fashionable bracelets will have a battery life up to two days. Its sale will begin in early December, during the Holiday shopping season, through Opening Ceremony, upscale department stores of Barney and some online shopping sites. The retail price for the fashionable bracelet will be USD 495, which will also include a two year mobile broadband contract by AT&T.
