Planning your tasks is easier with Google’s Reminders feature.
As of this week, Google Calendar gets Reminders feature. The new option gives users the possibility to keep their life in place and to prioritize their tasks based on their importance.
Google is going through a series of changes lately to improve online services for their mobile customers. After recently announcing increased protection for their Android users, Google is now focusing all its attention on its Calendar app.
It’s December and holiday planning can give us lots of headaches. Google couldn’t pick a better moment to upgrade its Calendar app as users will most likely need a hand at organizing important events in their lives.
The big announcement and the good news for control freaks out there is that Google Calendar will receive a Reminders feature starting this week. The new tool places tasks in order based on their importance and/or other aspects users might want to consider. Once the task has been completed, users can simply swipe it out of the smartphone screen and it will disappear completely.
There are many other services that come with the newly upgraded app, according to Google’s reps. The online service will sync data from other Google apps, such as, Inbox, Google Keep and Google Now, so reminders will display all other pieces of information that users might be interested in.
According to the company, Google’s Reminders will automatically insert contacts’ personal data, so users won’t have to look for names or telephone numbers when they schedule a doctor’s appointment. Addresses will also be retrieved from the Internet and added to the reminder in case customers plan a visit to a special store.
It is hard to estimate just how popular the new feature will be, but we assume customers will find it useful around this time of the year when there are many things to do in such a short period of time. The Reminders features will be compatible both with Android and iOS devices, but users will have to install the new upgrade for Google Calendar to have access to this new setting.
