Tech giant Apple Inc is likely to introduce a stylus alongside the much-speculated 12.9-inch ‘iPad Pro’, according to an industry expert.
Ming-chi Kuo, an industry analyst from KGI Securities, said that the Cupertino-based technology company is expected to unveil the new tablet and the rumoured stylus in the second quarter of 2015.
Kuo is well-known for his good track record of making definite predictions about Apple launches.
“Given that it’s more precise than a person’s fingers, a stylus can be more convenient to use than the combination of keyboard and mouse in some cases. Therefore, we believe Apple’s stylus will improve the user experience of 12.9-inch iPad,” Kuo wrote in a report.
According to the sources, Apple has applied for a wave of stylus-related patents and may finalise one of them for its upcoming product.
Kuo also said that the California tech firm is expected to come up with a number of innovative apps with the much-anticipated Apple stylus.
If rumours are to be believed, Apple will bring the rumoured stylus as an optional accessory with its 12.9-inch iPad so that it is able to maintain the base price of the main product.
